April/May 2002

Heath, Dee and husband Richard had three glorious weeks in the USA again visiting with Jill, Jack and daughter Lisa in Atlanta, Dennis and Judy in Oregon and Toni, Bill and their children Kate and Ben in Stratham, New Hampshire. We will never forget the times spent with our friends and their wonderful families. Their welcome and generosity was overwhelming. Whilst we were in NH, Toni arranged a surprise meeting for Heath with famous USA artist, Warren Kimble

October 2001

Our first annual homeshow. A huge success and a great time had by all!

September 2001

Dee flew to the US to be a surprise guest at the North-West Gathering of USA artists. Here she was inspired by their creativity, generosity of spirit and of course her surroundings. So much so that she went for a week and stayed for two! Spending her time divided between the beautiful Newell House, situated in the parkland of Champoeg, Oregon with her hosts and friends Dennis and Judy Van Atta and at the lovely home of friend and fellow crafter Jill Cooper and her husband Jack in Atlanta, Georgia.

September 2000

Launch of our quarterly newsletter

March 1998

We opened our first store at 18 High Street, Edwinstowe with one months rent, 110 dolls, a range of beautiful handpainted glassware and Heath's collection of watercolours. We built on these foundations and introduced other crafters' wares to our loyal customers. Debbie from Moon and Stars Web Designs, USA launched our website shortly afterwards in 1999. Our little 9 feet x 30 feet store was crammed full with primitives, folk art and local handcrafted goods. Our mission was and still is to promote the wares of local and USA crafters and artists and to provide a unique shopping experience for all our visitors and locals alike.
