Summer Doubleknitting Yarns In all my experience people knit with thick heavy chunkies as much in summer as they do with the finer cottons in winter. Nevertheless cottons and their ilke still tend to be classed as summertime yarns. .jpg)

Luxury Soft Cotton from Sirdar This is a lightweight cotton that has been brushed to make it softer and smoother as opposed to the old mercerised look which was cold, heavy and shiney. Mercerised by the way means the yarn has been passed through an incredibly high temperature gas. | | Luxury Soft Cotton produces a very round yarn in its numerous plys and as such gives a good clean stitch definition |
